The love interest is just as douchey and again, refers to her as different then all the other girls. There was even happy tears I can’t believe how he can be so clueless but know exactly what he needs to do to get the girl.

I absolutely loved this book and how hard Theo and Blake had to fight how they feel about each other but how will it all end well you will just have to read this book to find out but you will not be disappointed with the outcome. I loved how fiercely protective he was with Blakely, having her best interests at heart even if he didn't always show it in the right way. You'll feel their vulnerability, and insecurity, they are double-guessing each other, and both live in a tumultuous state since Blake is his best friend's little sister and he grew up with her. As with a number of other books out there, the great alpha-male (hockey great) potentially loses his long-time love interest (his best friend’s little sister) because of a bet… about who on the college hockey team can take her v-card. The fact that he could have had such a good redemption arc by TALKING to Blake about the offers, and they chose not to do that, because of the “grand gesture” at the end.By completing your purchase, you agree to Audible's Conditions of Use and authorise Audible to charge your designated card or any other card on file.

Blakely was such a strong character, speaking up for herself, going after what she wanted and not taking any shit from anyone, Theo included. Diving into this world and getting to know each character has been incredible so far and I can’t wait to read more! She never listened either and the hypocrisy of her going on about communication when she was constantly shutting Theo out. This is the second book in the series, it is a brother's best friends sister, enemy's to lovers romance.

There's minimal OM/OW drama in this book- Blakley is dating someone from the team and Theo is a (reformed) manwhore. They make a big deal about it, making the “best hokey team” lose a game, just so Colt can say “I know you’ve always loved her. I love Blakely’s and Theon’s story and appreciated the snippets into the other characters continued stories. Blake is a child, at times i thought ok, she's maybe on her way to handling stuff like a badass but it just kept coming back to the same conclusion. MC is annoying not a badass, literally can’t count on one hand how many times she was referenced or referenced herself as being “different from all the other girls”.

Theo had me smiling and ready to knock him in the face but then smiling right after with his crazy love declarations. What happens when you look back at your life and realize you had to give up something you love to be with the person you care about? But the way she says at one point how “it’s always been his” makes me wonder if we really have progressed as a society. These characters were very well written, even though I wanted to strangle them a time or two throughout the book. This book involved more immaturity and lack of communication between the main characters which always has me yelling at their stupidity 😂 but it ended in a very sweet and happy way that made up for it. When it comes to Blake with other guys, Theo does not tolerate it and always sees red in front of him.
