In a really deep delve into the Cosmere (for which this Cosmere girl is so here for), we get to see Kelsier help Vin (and friends) save their planet Scadriel “behind the scenes. Whilst trapped at the Well, he discovers another entity trapped there: Ruin, the counterpart to Preservation, who intends to destroy the world.

As he does, he sees into Preservation's depths and feels his pain and love for his people, so he winds up hugging him in sympathy. Como ya dije, este relato abarca mucho del Cosmere, y eso lo transforma en un pilar importantísimo en su concepción. Now, Brandon did a good job showing that finesse and technique are as important if not more so than force, but that still had the effect of letting Elend overshadow Vin in the role that was originally hers and hers alone, and it left a sour taste in many people's mouths. I would not recommend to read it if you have not read the first three books already, or if you have not, but plan on reading them.It is told from the POV of Kelsier and I would not want to say anything about it, except that it is very much Kelsier and his stubborn refusal to do what is expected of him. Soon after, Kelsier finds out that Leras (Preservation) is about to die, so he smashes the device and takes up the power of Preservation.

Since Preservation is unable to help him in his investigations, Kelsier sets out to discover Ruin's motives for himself. Following the reorganization of the world, Kelsier recruits Spook, who, by virtue of Sazed's new power, is now able to see him, to help him regain a Connection to the Physical Realm by playing with Hemalurgy.

For some reason, I was postponing reading this novella and then it totally slipped out of my mind since I didn't have it on my kindle. Preservation shows Kelsier a vision of all the people Ruin controls: Inquisitors, Vin, a man on the throne of Luthadel, Spook, and Marsh. While trying to get to Vin, Kelsier learns a little about Hemalurgy and how the spikes give Ruin power over those with spikes. As such, it contains HUGE SPOILERS for the books Mistborn ( The Final Empire), The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages. However, Ruin intercepts and kills the messenger using Marsh, Kelsier's brother, who is now under Ruin's control.Once you step behind the curtain and see the actors as the people they are, it becomes harder to pretend the play is real. Following Preservation's guidance, Kelsier meets two people from different worlds, Khriss and Nazh, who point him to a covert group known as the Ire (Eyree) as his only chance for aid. Information about books that have not yet been released, like Stormlight 5, is allowed only on meta-pages for the books themselves. Mistborn: Secret History’ is really his first work that straddles across the various worlds of his novels.
