Description

During this period, Stanton came across an advertisement by Irving Klaw, New York's self-styled pin-up king, offering 'fighting girl illustrated serials' by mail. In his earliest works, such as Diary Of A Lady Wrestler, Stanton concentrated strictly on 'fighting femmes', but by the early 1950s, on Klaw's instructions, he started specialising in the bizarre conventions and contraptions of bondage. He later shared a studio with classmate Steve Ditko, co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange for Marvel Comics in the 1960s. A biografia do artista em inglês, que inicia o livro, encontra-se traduzida para alemão e francês nas páginas finais da obra. His imaginative, detailed full-color comic strip narratives depict buxom, leggy femmes fatales having their way with tied-up, handcuffed, or simply awestruck men.Drawing became his passion from the age of 12, when he started copying the scantily-clad heroines in early comic books. Iniciou a sua carreira na década de 40 do século XX ao serviço de Irving Klaw com histórias de bondage . Charles Guyette: Godfather of American Fetish Art [*Expanded Photo Edition*] by Richard Pérez Seves.

Stanton invented many memorable titles for Klaw, including Girls' Figure Training Academy and Madame Discipline, and scripted the occasional serial, but he mainly illustrated Klaw's and other people's stories. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. The book has a crease in the spine (but no break), light edge wear, faint browning along the text block, and faint rubbing. In 1997 the German publishers Taschen issued a 350-page art book covering his career, edited by photographer Eric Kroll. Following this, he was art assistant to Boody Rogers on Sparky Watts or Babe, supplying background art and plot ideas. Ditko biographer Blake Bell, without citing sources, said, "At one time in history, Ditko denied ever touching Stanton's work, even though Stanton himself said they would each dabble in each other's art; mainly spot-inking", [17] and the introduction to one book of Stanton's work says, "Eric Stanton drew his pictures in India ink, and they were then hand-coloured by Ditko".
