I’ve just read the bathroom scene where amelia showed a video of him fucking her that day after signing the house to move in with elli and I’ve stopped reading. see i thought blakely gave no fucks about herself, but turns out ellington/elli (h) has her beat in spades LMFAO. If you love the dark dark and have no tr*ggers, dont mind that well, the H showing nothing but selfishness to his own wants, give it a go 🙌 just because I didn't vibe doesn't mean you won't. Because of the way that Grovian goes about drawing out the story of Bender's background and therefore her reasons for violently killing a complete stranger, there's a lot of ground gone back over.

This is my second venture into Shantel Tessier's world, and OMG, I wasn’t expecting to love "The Sinner" this much. Here we have a vivid cast of people who can be their own worst enemies and yet are fascinating and mesmerising. She was then held captive by Frankie and his parents for 6 months while Magdalena's body is dumped in the woods and her death covered up by Cora and Magdalena's family.Smexy times - there was alot in this book that it took away from the story, and honestly, the h was in pain alot of the times they did it. I have never felt as much sympathy with a character as I did with Elli, she can never catch a break past or present and though you know he’s toxic, Sin is the the lesser of the evils for her, man are there some evils in the Lords world. This is also an FYI that the parents in this book suck except for 2 and I think you know which ones I'm talking about. Half the time I couldn't understand if I was reading flashbacks or Cora telling lies or Cora telling the truth or someone else telling their side of the story.

Haunted by the case, the police commissioner refuses to close the file and begins his own maverick investigation. Because I found Cora’s character fascinating and the book certainly delivers, in that her personality is even more complex than in the adaptation, because even though I knew what had happened it still managed to grip me, and because I found Cora’s relationship with the detective - given the differences - refreshing. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, the author skillfully threw in curve after curve of suspense, leaving me on the edge of my seat. And an author who had the audacity to use the community’s title as a trigger and then violate every single tenant of the community. However, I went through a point where I just really wanted to finish the book and debated on whether or not I should just put myself out of this misery and just read the last page.In focusing on Crime and Punishment, The Sinner and the Saint necessarily misses revealing insights from elsewhere in Dostoevsky’s copious work. Even though I was so confused and maybe a little bored (although I'm not sure that is the term I am looking for), I couldn't bring myself to skim much and I actually found myself wanting to read every word. In addition to several grisly autopsy/ crime scene scenes, there are also a few scenes set in creepy locations, some moments of suspense, some character-based/psychological horror, some disturbing plot elements and some scenes of medical horror too. It took like five minutes to figure out whether I was in the present or the past and to figure out who the hell was narrating which part. Sin was Elli's saviour , but Sin's actions are barbaric which makes Elli's fondness for him questionable.
