About this deal

What I particularly appreciate about the Sportneer chairs are the handy loops at the fabric sections where the poles are inserted. These loops simplify the process of slotting in the poles without the risk of catching a finger as you’re stretching the fabric.

Secondly, I want to buy a whole bunch of camping chairs at some point and test them all at once. If this is something that you’re interested in, let me know in the comments! I've only tested it for 10-15 mins ... seems like it's going to last. It's quite low down which may be a problem to some people, but perfectly fine for me and will also sit nicely inside my text. [ tent height 160 cm] The framework is a mix between Aluminium and plastic I think, which may present problems later on, especially if the plastic break holding the framework together. Although if you are more on the larger size this may be an unsuitable chair, I'm 5'9 and 73kg and it's a comfortable tight fit. From my perspective, I’ve seen no issues with durability. But I have deducted some marks because I’ve seen that some other people have had issues in the past. For example, a giant air bubble forming on the sleeping mat after inflating it for the first time or some people finding it deflates over time. HARDWEARING and EASILY TRANSPORTABLE: Made from 7075 aviation grade Al alloy and 500 Denier Cordura fabric, this chair can hold up to max weight of 100 kg. It’s compact size 38X13X15 cm, and weighs less than 1 kg. This chair comes with a shoulder strap and easy to take on any outdoor excursion.

If you’re a more casual camper and don’t plan on too much hiking, comfort will probably be top of your list. Beyond the price, it also boasts a weight limit of up to 150kg. But, to be honest, all of these chairs are so structurally similar that it’s difficult to know if these stated capacities should really differ so much. The material seems strong enough, and the 4 access points for the poles are reinforced to make it more sturdy. I've only given it 4 stars simple because plastic has been used, where if the framework reinforced Aluminium it would have received 5 stars. However, this isn't to say that it's rubbish or that you will have any problems...

I really like the convenient loops at the parts of the fabric that you slot the poles into. These loops make it easier to slot in the poles without bashing a pole into your finger while you’re tensioning the fabric. These lightweight camping chairs do look quite fragile when you first set them up, but looks can be deceiving. While I’m still holding onto my pandemic weight, I weigh just under 100kg, and the chair felt absolutely fine when I was testing it. Now, all things used outdoors eventually get covered in mud. I reached out to KAMUI about whether you can clean the chair. The answer is yes, and it sounds pretty straightforward. Setup is one of the areas that the Kamui mat excels as a self-inflating mattress. All you have to do is open the air nozzle and throw it on the ground. After five minutes or so, it has inflated itself to about 80% full. If you want a firmer mattress, you only need to blow through the nozzle a few more times.

I did love the buttons along the side of the Kamui sleeping mattress. These let you connect as many other Kamui pads as you want – so you can essentially make one giant bed. This could be a great option for couples if you want the flexibility of being able to choose between single mattresses for solo camping and double mattresses when you’re out together. The Kamui camping chair provides a surprisingly good experience at a budget price. Our lightweight camping chair review criteria Given these qualities, the Helinox Chair Zero seems an ideal candidate for ultralight hikers keen on reducing their gear weight as much as feasible. Expect to shave about 400 grams off compared to the other chairs. I think this is a brilliant feature for Kamui to have added on, given how common a complaint this issue is with other lightweight camping chairs. Some people have found it such an issue that they have taken to puncturing tennis balls and attaching them to the ends of the legs.
