Clean Up After stripping and cleaning, allow the wood to dry for 2-3 good drying days before applying Deks Olje D1. D1 may only be applied to bare wood surfaces or a weathered wood surface that was previously finished with Deks Olje D1. All other finishes must be completely and thoroughly removed first. If necessary sand the surface after cleaning and/or stripping (100 grit paper). Free from solvents and paraffin, it is suitable for environmentally sensitive areas as it’s gel consistency means it will not run, making it perfect for use on vertical surfaces. Net-Trol is biodegradable and so it is not harmful to plants or animals. This means you don’t need to worry too much about covering surrounding areas – unless you don’t want them to get wet of course! We would however, recommend thoroughly wetting surrounding plants once you finish. Preventing rust marks caused by garden furniture After stripping and rinsing, surfaces must immediately be treated with Net-Trol while still wet to neutralise the surface. New wood surfaces have a hard shiny surface called mill glaze that prevents maximum penetration and bonding of any finish; sanding or treating the wood with Aquanett removes this, ensuring maximum performance of the finish. Deks Olje D1 is suitable for use on hardwood and softwood and has been specially developed for dense, oily and difficult to impregnate woods. You can use Deks Olje D1 on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and it provides protection against humidity and its effects as well as against damage from UV rays. If the surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water To help to prevent rust marks from re-appearing we would recommend coating your garden furniture with Owatrol Oil– it will prevent damage caused by moisture and should help to prevent unsightly rust marks too. Owatrol Oil is a colourless and odourless rust inhibitor and provides enhanced corrosion protection.

Clean all tools and equipment with white spirits while still wet. If allowed to dry, remove with paint stripper. Wipe up any drips or runs immediately with a cloth soaked in white spirits. Dried Deks Olje D1 may be removed with Dilunett. Store and maintain equipment as directed by manufacturer. Leave to stand for around 10-20 minutes. If the surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water. Remove any loose and flaking finish. Brush off any physical surface contamination e.g. moss, general dirt etc. Shake or stir product well before and during use including diluted solutions.

Just a note to say how delighted I was with Net-trol and the results were amazing. The rust stains came out completely! As you know I had tried umpteen different chemicals and solutions but only Net-trol worked. Surfaces must first be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime, mildew and previous coatings. Treat any mildew with a 50/50 bleach/water solution. Scrub the solution on to the surface and allow it to stand for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly. Can be used on most surfaces; on wood (some woods such as Oak and Chestnut require more attention before using Dilunett), metal (except Aluminum), plastic, stone, cement etc

Ideal for stripping large areas as Dilunett is non-flammable, does not dry out and remains active a long time. Leave the Net-Trol to stand for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. If the surface starts to dry, you must moisten it again by using a spray of mist application of water. Regular washing with Net-Trol will help to maintain the appearance of Deks Olje D1. It will gradually lighten over time due to exposure to the sun and UV rays. When the wood has lightened to a light grey colour, it is time for a maintenance application. Clean the surface with Net-Trol and then apply Deks Olje D1 until the wood is saturated and the finish restored, usually 1 or 2 applications will be sufficient. RestrictionsIt is safe to use on all exterior wood types and is also an excellent degreaser for use on tropical hardwoods to allow finishes like Deks Olje D1 to penetrate. Net-Trol can remove stains caused by tannin bleed and will remove all traces of weathering caused by mildew, pollution and UV rays. Why should I use Net-Trol? Clean surface.
