This book shows us how much they are in to each other and at what lengths they will go to keep the other one safe. The author did a fabulous job of introducing the characters, including the hero and heroine, Adam and Madeline, as well as the supporting characters - giving just enough of history to recap the relationships, striking my curiosity further, but not distracting from the current story.

The Meon Valley Railway Line is a 17.5km (11mi) recreational bridleway that runs through the village. The trail follows part of the bed of the former Meon Valley Railway (Alton to Fareham), which closed in 1968. It ends at West Meon due to removal of the former viaduct across the Meon Valley, and the presence of tunnels further north. I was also happy to see that she lets Adam lead in this book and while she’s worried about his safety she’s come to understand that he can take care of himself and trust to keep them safe. This time the story is definitely more focused on the relationship side of things and where as the first two books I would class as mysteries with the romance on the side this is pretty much the reverse. Now I haven't read the previous two books, but this can be read as a stand alone. There are references to events that seems to have happened in those books, and I think I would have really benefited from reading the previous books, but I was able to follow and enjoy the story. I would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a good mystery/thriller with some romance.

The story revolves around a threat to the life of Adam, and those closest to him - due to his involvement with the government to take down a very powerful crime organization. In doing so, the couple escapes to a safe house for their safety. Seemingly romantic, with no more than books, boardgames, and each other to keep themselves entertained, danger is always just a moment away until the very end. Where book 1 in The Harbour Falls series was more of a guessing game of Who Done It? Book 2, Willow Point, was more so on the level of Clue? Clues that lead Maddy straight to a secret from Adam’s past. Of course our always curious Maddy prefers to be on a must know basis. But didn’t anyone ever tell her that curiosity killed the cat. As the clues lead her to uncover a lie she soon realizes she may lose Adam after all.
