Tip: To store Adiseal once opened, leave about 1cm worth of product out of the nozzle and store the tube upright in a cool dry place. Adiseal requires moisture for it to cure. The exposed part out of the nozzle will cure creating a cap. To re-use Adiseal, pull the cured part out or cut the nozzle until the uncured part is reached. CT1 was introduced in 1998 by C-TEC, a UK-based corporation. It was created as a one-of-a-kind hybrid polymer formulation to satisfy diverse bonding and sealing needs in construction and DIY projects. Flexible and Durable: Maintains its bond even under extreme conditions, including vibrations and thermal expansion. C-Tec also have another product called BT1 sealant but in a previous test in 2019, Adiseal was shown to have stronger mould resistance than BT1 sealant as well. As well as Adiseal adhesive sealant being better than CT1 sealant adhesive in numerous ways, Adiseal products are also lower priced than CT1 products. CT1 product Both products were applied to new clean plastics cups then filled half way with tap water. They were then both covered by plastic to make sure the cups were sealed. Both cups were kept next to each other in a dark location at room temperature (cool). This mould resistance test was started on 13/07/23. The image was taken on 06/08/23 after the water removed. The lot number of the CT1 sealant white was 3941754 which we were told by C-Tec was manufactured in February 2023. The batch number of the Adiseal sealant adhesive white was 3250560.Allow the sealant to dry and cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This process may take several hours or longer, depending on the sealant type and environmental conditions. Starting at one end of the desired area, slowly and evenly apply the sealant in a continuous bead. Maintain a consistent pressure on the caulking gun or tube to ensure a smooth and uniform application.
