About this deal

Sceptical as I’ve used stuff like this before and they didn’t work. However this has the bonding agent which others didn’t. A spare toothbrush is always an excellent addition to your dental emergency kit. You can use one to clean the mouth or to place temporary restoration material after an accident. Gloves

Find out about our role, our Council, current strategic and costed corporate plans, who we regulate, results of our work, and the other organisations we work with here. Take a rag, dip it into the saltwater, and then use it to clean your teeth. The salt is a natural antibacterial. Plus, some people claim it is better to rub your teeth than using a toothbrush. What if You Run Out of Toothpaste? Managing Bleeding Gums: Understand the steps to take when faced with bleeding gums, including rinsing with saline solution, applying pressure, and seeking professional evaluation for underlying causes. The General Dental Council (GDC) recommends that all dentists and dental care professionals carry out verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in three core recommended subjects. First Aid for Life courses can directly contribute to the 10 hours per CPD cycle required for medical emergencies, as well as fulfilling the recommendations from the Resuscitation Council (UK). READ ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE. Wash and dry your hands. Use only what is needed to repair the dental emergency, and save the rest for a future application. Keep out of reach of children. Do not get into eyes

Mandatory requirements

Avoid touching surrounding gum tissue, cheek, or tongue with wet applicator tip. Do not leave the applicator in mouth. I had a filling fall out and needed something as the dentist isn’t open. The bonding agent smells (and tastes) like a really strong clove oil. It makes you really salivate so prepare for drooling! I don’t think this would work for a chipped tooth as I don’t think there would be enough grip to stay put. But as I’ve got the hole drilled by a dentist so there is a good area to stuff the putty into if that makes sense. Just put the bonding agent in the hole and stuff the putty in with the tool. Bite and grind to smooth. I did mine last thing at night after a good brush and clean out of the hole and next morning it was set. It’s been in for a couple of weeks now. Able to eat on it. Brush and it’s not moved yet. I understand it’s a temporary fix, but before I could not bite on that side due to pressure pain (no pain without biting on it) and now I can with no pain. Disposable face masks: Most of us are now familiar with disposable face masks. These are sensible to use when treating someone with a first aid kit to minimise the risk of exposing someone to infection, whether they are the person being treated or the person carrying out the first aid. I get squeamish at the idea of pulling a tooth without an anesthetic. I get even more squeamish if I think of having to pull out my wife’s or daughter’s tooth! Health Problems Perfect for those times when you cannot visit a dentist. There may be times when we cannot access a dentist (global pandemic, anyone?) but you need to fill a cavity to prevent pain and a worsening of the situation. This kit is ideal for this situation.

If you are an individual dental professional you can book onto a scheduled Emergency First Aid course and let us know you are a dental professional, we will then cover all the elements you need for your mandatory training.

Adhesive tape: Adhesive tape can help to secure bandages or dressings so that they remain in place. The fix lasts a long time. Some over the counter solutions to your cavities can completely disappear or fall out after a day or two; the fixing from this kit will last as long as many dentist treatments do.
