About this deal

It’s a reliable gaming surface that requires very little maintenance to keep it in top gliding shape (at least until the pad wears down and it’s time to replace it) and thanks to the thickness it’s also gonna be a good option for people who are often playing away from home on unpredictable surfaces. Its Cordura surface provides an extremely slick glide once you get going but it’s just textured enough to allow you to control your mouse when making smaller movements. That being said: the G-SR is a very controlling pad so if you feel like you need a lot of control this should be right up your alley.

On sweaty days, you are going to feel your sweat and skin oils impacting the overall feeling of the pad somewhat, but the days where a couple drops of liquid made the mouse come to a full stop are well and truly behind us. That doesn’t have to be a big surprise since the founders of VAXEE are the same people that founded ZOWIE back in the day, but it’s an interesting bit of information. If you’re completely unsure we would recommend you to go for a nice middle-of-the-road cloth pad to start out with. If you consistently overshoot you might want to go towards a pad that’s less focused on speed if you don’t want to adjust your sensitivity. If you want a completely custom-designed mousepad then the InkedGaming mousepads are a great choice. The G-SR is a pretty slow pad whereas the QcK is on the faster side, so I’d say it depends on whether you prefer a faster feel or a slower feel.

Hi, I just bought the zowie g-sr and I really like it, I accompany it with my logitech g203, according to your experience I currently use 400 dpi and 2. I play on a pretty low sensitivity so I like to have that balance between smooth and easy swipes with a touch of control so it’s not easy to find that when you also have to take the mouse you’re using into account. Sadly mousepads don’t last forever so depending on how often you use them they’ll need to be replaced every once in a while if you desire that brand new feeling.

I have done a lot of aim training and playing on the mouse pad, it is quite worn and I can said the surface has definitely roughen quite a bit, I haven’t washed it, there is not considerable dust buildup either but I’m saying this because I may not even have the correct surface for comparison. I was thinking about the slower S-GR pad because it could help with the stopping but at the same time I’ve heard that it makes transitions even harder.

That’s because the overall sensitivity/ eDPIof pro (shooter) players is way lower than that of most casual gamers. It’s still very uniform across the surface, but it’s quite a lot easier to sink your fingers into the Rouge than into an earlier version. The Zowie G-SR-SE might sound like it’s just a recolor of that other popular ZOWIE mousepad (the G-SR) but it’s anything but. The stitching job is top notch, the pad comes flat packed and lays flat immediately, the softness of the foam is pretty much perfect, and the gliding experience is fantastic. It's not so fast that you can't aim in TacFPS, but it's not so slow that your responsiveness in fast paced shooters like Fortnite suffers either.
